2018 is here! Happy New Year! Now, before we talk about plans and goals for this year, let’s go back and see what we loved and enjoyed reading last year. I wasn’t able to do this last month because I was busy with stuff and yeah, here are the books I’m thankful for I read in 2017.
According to Goodreads, I read 78 books. But for some reason, I seem to not remember a lot of them. The ones on this list are the ones that really stuck with me because of things you’re about to find out. (And oh, by the way, this isn’t in any particular order.)
Little Monsters by Kara Thomas and What To Say Next by Julie Baxbaum
Now, if you’re going to ask me,”Why are they together on your list? They have completely different stories.” Well, here’s why: These two are the books that really pushed me to share my blogposts on social media because I was part of a Blog Tour and a Street Team. I have been posting blogpost back then for a few months but never really shared them. So, yes, I am forever thankful for these books.
And actually enjoying this books is totally a major plus! Little Monsters kept me at the edge of my seat whilst What To Say Next made me cry and happy.
Under Rose-Tainted Skies by Louise Gornall
And by the way, if you’re considering to read this book, I just wanna put a Trigger Warning as to this book have anxiety, agoraphobia, self-harm and OCD. Please keep that in mind before picking this book up.
Geekerella by Ashley Poston
Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare
It took me a minute to pick this book up because I was waiting for the second book to binge read them both but until now I still haven’t picked up Lord of Shadows. Haha! Anyway, I loved this book because… IT’S CASSANDRA CLARE. Yep, that is all.
Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling
Yes, it’s only in 2017 that I read these books. And as expected, I LOVED THEM! I still can’t choose which one is my Favourite book though. I might need to re-read the series before I can choose.
So yeah, these are all the books I enjoyed and thankful for that I read this year. There are so many great releases in 2017 that I have to read soon… and then there’s 2018 releases… oh gurl! This is gonna be great!
How about you guys? What are your favorite books in 2017?
